Team Beta Insanity - Legacy of Light
The doomed story cover featuring 208 layers.

My horror work for school, the cover for my (and *Chibi-Metal 's) Team Beta Insanity story called "Legacy of Light" featuring Team Beta Insanity's members Luther, Maria, Sorrow (as a replacement for Anne) and Miriam, and their villians Mariah the Sartorius and Anne the Mephiles.

First of all, there's no personal meaning behind this picture. I just drew it to finish my story project for Culture & Media class I started over a month ago.
I personally had some doubts if I should really put it up here; doubts I don't want to talk about, so please don't ask.
But although there are many things in this picture I'm dissatisfied with, I put ways too much effort into it to have it just done as a more or less 'unnecessary' addition to my story. And that's reason enough for me to put it up here.
Furthermore I think it's important to mention that I spent full 4 days on this, starting on Friday right after school and finishing last night at about half past ten, and it was more than just stressing.

_About the Picture:__To tell the truth, I didn't put very much effort into the sketch of this picture, as it was just a random idea before that later became to an important part of my project as my teacher asked for a story cover. As a consequence there are most of the "mistakes" and things I'm dissatisfied with found in the characters anatomy. As for example Sorrow's head looks pretty much like it was floating (according to a statement from =Tessadafox which I totally agree with) and Mariah the Sartorius' und Anne the Mephiles' heads/upper bodies could've been placed a bit better and higher.
There's not much to tell about the coloring nor about the shading except for the fact that I almost died doing it. Especially all the eyes and Anne's crystallic spines killed me. I thought it would never end. XD
Talking about the background, I think it was a good idea to make a sketch for it. First of all I'd have never been able to draw it like that directly in photoshop and secondly there would've everything of it been gone. Because yesterday in the afternoon when I was working on it my Photoshop suddenly didn't react anymore. After waiting for over an hour I decided to restart it again. I have to thank *Chibi-Metal for giving me the file of the castle she used in her last picture for =Shadowhog as it was meant to be Chronos' palace as well, and so I didn't have to redo mine, which was also deleted as the rest of the background (except for the sketch as I said). So all I had to redo was the cherry trees and the floating island. But I think all in all it looks a bit better now. I've been pretty lazy with the meadows but I actually don't care because it still looks pretty good to me.
