Description Before I get to my "review", this is basically what the Master Sword looks like in-game. It's neat, and makes me realize that the current design Nintendo has for it looks more like a colorful Batman-like sword. I was gonna draw Zelda, but a lot of people already drew her.

This is technically 12/19 in terms of favorite Zelda games, but 11., 12, and 13 really fit the same level of enjoyment for me.

Normally, I would go over details as to why the game ranks the way it does. However, that really isn't something I can do with A Link to the Past. LttP is the foundation for every Zelda game after it until Breath of the Wild. That's fine, but I didn't get the chance to plat LttP until after I played most of the others. Because of that, LttP dragged and was extremely boring. Despite ranking higher than Wind Waker on my list, even that has more of a reason to be played even if I ultimately prefer this. If you or a friend want to start Zelda, PLEASE do your best to play them in order. Jumping from the newer games to Link to the Past is unfair to it's actual quality. The music, characters, world, lore, and dungeons were copied and remixed so much over the following decades that the original feels empty and bare in comparison. Even Zelda 1 feels like a much fresher experience because of how different it is, and when was the last time the theme song had any prominence these games?

TLDR, Link to the Past is the most generic Zelda game, but only because it invented the formula in the first place. It's good, but doesn't excel.
