Description

While out on her usual strolls, Amy comes across a blue-colored shell that looks to be vacant. She then recalls that in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, one of the Koopa Troopas wore a blue-colored Spiny Shell. But this shell lacks the spikes, which has Amy feeling very curious.

For those who didn't see the movie, during the Rainbow Road portion of the movie, the Koopa General transformed into a Winged Spiny Shell, and then attacked Mario and Donkey Kong. Prior to transforming, however, he said "Blue Shell", which felt like a big oversight on Scott Menville's part. And the reason why it's an oversight is because the Blue Shell is actually a power-up item in New Super Mario Bros.. And Blue Shells as a whole debuted before the notorious Mario Kart series Spiny Shell came to existence.

I suppose that one could blame the Mario Kart meta for this very predicament, since for a long time, the Mario Kart Spiny Shell has been incorrectly referred to as a Blue Shell by a lot of people.
