As the coastguard boat heaves off into the distance, Jack sheaths his sword and eases Molly off her back into a sitting position, "I'm sorry m'dear but after what just happened I'm going to have to keep ye gagged fer now, until we reach the open sea after first light tomorrow," Molly grunts a garbled protest but realising she is now gagged until the morning at least, turns to face him, and sees his expression has changed to the soft and gentle one once more.
