Description
'Coffee Stains'Wanted to construct a typeface that represents 'Coffee'
and for me a cup of coffee always leave stains and this
mark making led me to do a type face
Done in Photoshop CS3

Brilliant! I wish I had thought of it! how'd you get the coffee to only cover one spot? or did you edit it alittle so some spots were more visible? (I've never made a typeface, would interested in the process lol)

Definately Photoshoped it too you know where needed.

lol, your very good at creating typedface. Your comic art is pretty amazing too. I'm guessing your in graphic design? I've been thinking about going into the same career feild, but I'm starting to have second thoughts, seems everyone want to be a graphic designer.....Any tips?

Yes, Graphic Design is a versatile subject. It ranges from illustration,Typography,Screen printing, Logo design, Poster design, Editorial Design, Photography and many more.I cannot think of a world without graphic Design, in fact it would be a dark age without it.
And everyone wants to be a designer but not everyone is a designer. Graphic Designers are here to make solutions for visual problem and the best way to do it is 'clearity'. By all means, If you wish to choose a career such as this, make sure that you love the idea of being a Visual language for the world.

I do love that idea, i see just about everything visualy already. I took an Advertising class in high school and my teacher said i had a real knack for it, i guess I just have to hope for the best. I know when i look at advertisements now i really judge them and try to think of ways to make it so much more eye catching. Plus I love the physchology related to graphic design. I mean seriously we're brain washing the masses. Kinda makes you feel like a sheep blindly following the shepard.

and stops bothering abt the little people- but how foolish can one be

My name is Kirsten. and i agree, I mean i can unserstand if it's difficult to respond when you have hundreds of comments and such, but i would deff make an effort.
I enjoy deviantart quite a bit. I live in alaska and it's hard to find a good art comunity, so deviantart helps me "get out", at least alittle bit anyway. And we're all strangers at some point.

lo, yea seems everyone once to live in alaska at least for alittle while. It's extremely beautiful here Also very extreme. -50 in som parts in the winter then in that same place 100 in summer.
