There's a light type, but it's a legendary.

Once again... I'm no Pokemon expert. My friend's addicted to Pokemon, and she said it was a light type.
Wait a sec, I have its card. Yah, your right. Maby I misheard her...

YEP! and I love that they did this, because in fairy tales, dragons are killed usually with swords that are enchanted with their magic, because a normal sword can't kill one

I guess that explains why Steel isn't super effective on Dragon, too? Ugh, yes, finally that makes sense!

but still a question remains: why electric doesn't beat steel?

canisaries In reply to wildlife20 [2015-07-12 17:07:52 +0000 UTC]
I don't really know, but if I had to guess, I'd maybe say the electricity would stay in the steel parts of the Pokemon (like in a Faraday cage) and leave, say, their vital organs unharmed, when for example water Pokemon have their water inside and out. (though this theory could be really incorrect since I haven't studied physics in ages)
But since steel's thing is being the extremely resistant type, I think electric might have just gotten thrown in there with the others. I mean, metal also rusts, but steel's still resistant to water.

two word for water: inoxidable steel.

canisaries In reply to wildlife20 [2015-07-12 17:55:49 +0000 UTC]
That's really the main reason why I wrote "metal" instead of "steel". Steel could probably mean any kind of metal, like grass means all sorts of plant life (and even fungi) and bug covers more than just insects.
With that said, I guess stainless steel is really the most "steel" steel out there, in that it can withstand more of the elements. And really that's what the steel type's all about. Sooooo yeah, you're right with that.

still{no pun indended}, I don't know any metal that doesn't allow electricity to pass through

I meant like in the way it's safer to be inside a car in a thunderstorm, since the strike will flow through the metal frame of the vehicle. Though now doing more research it seems that the inside of the Faraday cage needs to be a lot less conductive, so it looks like a metallic exterior wouldn't shield one from much. Like I said, it's been a while since I've been in physics class, lol.

for me, even though I try to understand it, I lose it, and don't understand anything. and I'm not very bad school, I have good grades and I'm in the "give me homework, please" state, me being the one that gives the homework. strange, because I rock at chemestry, and I have the same proffesor for both physics and chemestry.

I hear that's the case for a lot of people, and why wouldn't it be, chemistry does make a lot more sense right from the get-go. Physics usually deals with theory and ideal circumstances more, which makes it less practical and less familiar. Like the whole thing with Newton's third law. It took some time for me to understand what the equal forces really meant. And don't even get me STARTED on wave-particle duality. I don't think anyone understands that completely.

I tried to raise my grades, but the proffesor wanted to ask me from EVERYTHING we've done this year... I tried, I couldn't, I said that I give up, and she said that I'm lazy..."Thre's no 'I can't', just "I don't want to""

I usually understand all the things just fine, but I always accidentally mess up something minor in the calculations. That, and I'm not good at explaining things I know back.

I suck at problems like: "an aquarium has x amount of water" etc. and they say that if you're good at math you'll understand physics better... pffff...

yeah, i dislike the problems where you have convert every. single. pointless. detail to the final form so you can count some really simple calculation, so if you mess up in even once early on the whole calculation will be trash. cheap difficulty is what that is
