It's a sad, but beautiful idea. I really hope the show will have the courage to bring up the issue of Wendy's mother one day.

This is awesome. Β It's especially touching because, while most ghosts in the show seem to be motivated by grudges, Mrs. Corderoy seems to be bound to the earth by pure love.
Since ghosts exists in the Gravity Falls universe I wouldn't be surprised if the show explored this in the future, and it would explain a little bit of Wendy's unusual luck in some scenes.

I'm impressed; you've got a better grasp of the ghostly plane of existence than I usually find.
Ghosts are bound to earth because their emotions become everything they are at death, and they are so overpowering they become an imprint on the world. The ghosts seen in GF are tethered because they died in hatred, fear, and prejudice. We don't know what happened to Mrs courdroy, but if she died a certain way, she could be tethered by her love for her family and need to protect them.
I know it may seem like I'm over-analyzing this, but if Alex can include a real myth creature as obscure and specific as a Hidebehind, odds are he'd at least follow ghost logic.
I want her to be one of those clever moms, who can make you think she's awesome and devious in a good way. I want her to be a character I can love. I hope she shows up soon someway
