As of record, Dipper doesn't HAVE a phone.
He DOES however, have that laptop, in which, the password is FMcGuckit. Fiddleford McGuckit. It's the password! An eight letter word. XD I did a walkthrough tutorial on YouTube on how to figure things like this out. Plus, on Dipper's code page in S2 Ep11, it has a code saying "FMcGuckit."

Well, anyways, it could take place later on in the series, but, have you ever noticed, on the episode The Society of the Blind Eye, that McGuckit has a huge machine in the background of his house? It looks kinda like an old arcade machine, but anyways, its got the words, after they are deciphered,

I have that written down in a book, just FYI on where I'm getting it out of. It has light green letters spelling the unciphered version. I don't have it, or else I would give them to you. That is so cool! I didn't know that! Did you know that Stanford accidentally created Bill Cipher when he ignited the portal for the first time? We know that on the other side of the portal is a large number of books, which symbolizes how Bill is smarter than any other character on the show? Anyway, 30 years ago, Bill inhabited Grunkle Stan's body and pushed him into the portal, but Stanley left this part out of the story in "A Tale of Two Stans". Shortly after, the U.S. government found out and planted a tracking device on the inside of the Mystery Shack, just under the floorboards of the attic. Stanley, now living in the Mystery Shack, forcefully buried books 2 and 3, but later forgot where and how he hid them. One day, only a few years before present day Gravity Falls, Bill inhabited the body of a tourist: Gideon Gleeful. On an outdoor exhibit, Gideon left the group and found Journal 2. At the time, Bill did not know that Stanley was trying to save his brother, so he let it slide, and he told Gideon that Stanley is Stanford, which is why Stan is referred to Stanford in the first season.

OK, I needed to read this like, 8 times. Yes, I did know he created Bill,no, I didn't know about the books, yes, I knew Bill was the smartest charecter, yes I knew about Bill taking over Stanley's body and pushing him into the portal, yes I knew about the government guys doing that, yes I knew about Gideon, and yes I knew about Bill telling him Stanley was Stanford. Very confusing plot, but that just makes everything more enjoyable!

Remember, It's been confirmed Grunkle Stanford is Stanley, and it's safe to assume the man named Stanford would be considered the great-Uncle meaning the Author is most likely the actual Grunkle, and the guy in the Fez is the Grandfather (thats just my theory, feel free to beliew whatever you want to believe)
