Well, how would you feel if the man you got to know over a long period of time wasn't only lying to you about who he was, betrayed your trust, and put yourself and the people you care about in great peril?
Nothing compared to how you must feel as your twin sibling, whom you've known for the entity of your life, chose to trust a stranger; a dangerous, potentially murderous stranger, over you.

We were actually right about Stan's twin, and I was right about him being the author (I claim that theory as mine since I never saw anyone else say it), I was so sure that Alex would deliberately avoid that just so he could the mystery. Anyway, good work.

There were actually many people suspecting that (if there is a twin) Stanfords twin is the authorof the books.
I started mistrusting ALex after Society of the blind eye...
But this feels like Alex reflected the fanbase in this episode.
Dipper as the side that feels betrayed by Hirsch
Mabel as the ones that still carried on to believe him even if there is a big chance that they get trapped by Alex hints again....

I've now seen this episode but this picture got me thinking the author wrote "trust no one" and he wrote it in journal #3. I was thinking trusting others is what makes Dipper better then the author, but he had to have a reason to right it, he had to trust before thinking it was a bad idea.

Well yeah, and that was like, what, a month or so apart ? I'm guessing it's probably gonna take another three to four weeks at least until we see another episode. Which is the only thing I don't like about this series, the wait for new episodes. How come stuff on Disney XD, one of the bigger channels out there, takes that much time for new episodes while channels like the Hub give us a new MLP episode once a week whenever their seasons are going on?

Well Alex himself stated he wont do more than 2 Season+ Movie or 3 Seasons(+Movie?). It depends on how many ideas and Monsters they still have after Season 2.I guess Disney stretch the releasedates for the episodes so that the people stay tuned (Disney XD is payTV in america, isnt it?).
And Alex also said it would take 9 months of work to create a episode of gravity falls so maybe they are not even finished with the 2. half.Β I only know that Episode 12 supposed to be finish and is about Gideon breaking out of prison .it was formerly planned as the 10. episode but was eventually moved forΒ "Northwest Mansion Mystery" (as a valentines episode) and "Not what he seems".Β Could explain why Stanford isnt appearing in that one (because it had scenes after the events of "Not what he seems").
