Description

This piece is based on a dream I had last night! It was really realistic, so I had to draw the Hypno as soon as I woke up, since it was still fresh in my memory.

The dream was that I was in some kind of Pokemon school and we were learning about Psychic type Pokemon. We all had textbooks and I found the section about Hypnos, which was horribly, HORRIBLY biased against them. The illustration in the book made them look monstrous and ugly, and there were warnings all over the page like “if you see this pokemon, run” “this pokemon WILL kidnap unsuspecting people so always be on your guard” “if you must battle one, make it faint and then keep hurting it” and that was the last straw for me and I slammed down the book and yelled “This is wrong!!” and the teacher sent me to the principal’s office. Except I wasn’t going to listen to her anymore with those kinds of books in her classroom, so I went outside instead.
In a little crawlspace where one could just go and be alone in a shady area, I found a Pokeball with a note, and it said “Free to good home, don’t hurt him. I simply can’t afford to keep him. I’m losing my home. Take care of him.” And I took the Pokeball and crawled out of the space and opened it up, and boom, there stood a Hypno just like that one. He seemed upset, like he knew why his previous owner left him, but I promised I’d take care of him.
Apparently we were in Alola because after that we decided to get some Malasadas and hang out at the beach and everyone else glared at us, but we had the time of our lives.
I will always, ALWAYS love and cherish every Hypno I own. They deserve it.
