Days became weeks and weeks became years in Black Mesa. Gordon Freeman found nothing but work or dullness in the confines of the ginormous facility, but today in the aftermath of a long shift he found the kitchen area to be deserted and lacking any kind of edible food.

He hadn't seen the janitor for maybe a week or so, but could he blame the man after the limitless screw-ups of his colleagues and degrading facility. Flies buzzed everywhere, while the patient cockroaches waited for the darkness to cover their tracks.

In between all that Gordon found a pathetic pamphlet which promised to make him rich and more, which he cared for none too much.

But then in red were words of buffet, words that made his hunger flick to interest of attending this 'how to become a millionaire' seminar, so long as what was promised would be there.
