Description

Strangely enough this actually happened again between Earth and Maldoria in the early 24th century (Though this occurred well before the 800 year apocalypse).

Here's what happened; Earth had discovered Warp drive 300 years ago and were searching for other planets with life. They aspired to create alliances with other races besides their neighbors, the Maldorians. However in 2314, a human mining team decided to land on Maldorian soil and start digging for dilithium, arteirium, and dutranium ore. This action violated one of the alliances laws established back in 2004 regarding the removal of vital materials from other inhibited worlds without authorization from their government. The mining teams actions resulted in a war with the Maldorian Federation, of course after a few shots had been fired first. This time around Maldoria was developing their own warp capability but their ships weren't as powerful as Earth's.

{Defensive/Offensive capabilities}

Maldorian ships:                              Earth Federation Ships:

Advanced Shields: No                     Advanced Shields: Yes

Advanced Weapons: No                  Advanced Weapons: No

Massive Fleet: Yes                         Massive Fleet: No

Large Support Personnel: Yes         LSP: Yes

Stable Command system: Yes        Stable Command system: Yes

Warrior leadership: Yes                  Warrior Leadership: No

---

Now this isn't accurate to those events but Maldoria's ships in this pic are 700 years more advanced, and Earth's ships are...well based off some from Star Trek. The way I put it, Maldoria and Earth share similar ship designs basics while differing in variants and functionality. Earth ships are more for scientific exploration and diplomatic purposes; occasionally they are well equipped for military proposes if necessary. Maldorian ships are mainly used for war-time defense purposes. They have smaller vessels for scientific surveys of distant worlds but they too do serve as military vessels. In short; Maldoria is the sword and shield of the solar system while Earth is the diplomatic peace keeper. Anyway this is like a time paradox sort of thing. Stalkers, Falcons, and Soverlyns against Nebulas, Ambassadors, and Galaxies.
