Superficial supervillains, next on Sick, Sad World. Because today is the 20th anniversary of possibly the worst superhero movie to ever come into existence, Batman & Robin (and if Mystery Science Theater 3000 did not exclusively feature obscure sci-fi movies, the writers of that show would have had a field day with this movie), with yesterday coincidentally being the 25th anniversary of Batman Returns, this fan art of Quinn Morgendorffer from Daria cosplaying as Poison Ivy was just asking to be done.

Originally I considered drawing her as Harley Quinn, but because both are redheads, I felt this made way more sense. In fact, the one thing which really convinced me to draw this was a deviation by jbwarner86 titled "That Girl Is Poison" where he drew Arnold and Lila from Hey Arnold! as Batman and Poison Ivy respectively. And like he did with that picture, I based Quinn's costume design upon the one from Batman: The Animated Series.

I spent eight minutes sketching this with a Staedtler Norica HB #2 pencil, five minutes outlining with a Prismacolor Premier marker, and 24 minutes using Prismacolor pencils.

Quinn Morgendorffer and Poison Ivy are owned by MTV Networks and DC Comics respectively.
