Years ago I dreamed of this paradise scene. It all got mixed up with the Yoshis and their search for happiness. Also I read Joseph Campbell's book about the 'hero journey'. I tried to cram all this into one image and so this broad, almost scroll like format was created. Originally an older version of this image was shown at the KUB gallery in Leipzig Germany as part of a group exhibition (‘transform |’). The year was 2019 and I made my personal transition from drawing illustrations to being a painter. I never was able to finish the picture in the past years. In the last weeks I tried to bring it to a presentable state for you all to see. Happiness to all! regards Markus
