Description
After getting a dash of inspiration I’ve decided to make a series of illustrations. The original idea was to make kind of a mix between a historically accurate representation of different ancient cultures, mixed with mythological elements from that place and era. In horse form.
After starting I’ve left some of those ideas behind, specifically the ‘mythological’ part, and also the ‘historically accurate’ part. Mostly for my own creative sake.

Mycenean civilization spanned the period from approx. 1600–1100 BC, and was found in Ancient Greece at the end of the Bronze Age. From what I found (disclaimer; I’m not an historian) horses in this period were often used in chariot racing.
Colours and clothing was similar to that of the Minoans, so I based some of the design on references from clothing and hairstyles from both of those civilizations.
