Background Info: Azulerfish and Hydrian are two fishlike alien species created in the late 2000s as one of many alien creatures to as part of Frotian's story (www.deviantart.com/mars26/art/… ) while Psyquid is a cephalopod-like alien created in 2013, one of the final alien species I created before shifting away from aliens. Azulerfish was inspired on anglerfish and Psyquid was inspired by squids/octopuses while Hydrian isn't based on any particular fish species. "Azulerfish" is a portmanteau of "azure" and "anglerfish", "Hydrian" comes from "hydro" and "Hadrian" (just a random word that came to mind when creating the name), "Psyquid" is a portmanteau of "psychic" and "squid" (despite looking more like an octopus, I used "squid" instead since it fits better with "psychic").

Species Info - Azulerfish: Azulerfish are fish that often swim along the boundary of the sunlight zone and midnight zones of the Zorian oceans (www.deviantart.com/mars26/art/… ), preferring the midnight zone most of the time. While in the light, these fish chase small fish and any other aquatic life, and while in darkness, this fish attract prey with their lures that emit a light blue light, and quickly bite any prey that comes near. These fish are able to control the brightness of their lures and are able for communicate with other Azulerfish by flashing their lights in a similar style to Morse Code. Unlike anglerfish found on Earth, Azulerfish lack any sexual dimorphism, and they attract mates by flashing "love songs".

Species Info - Hydrian: Hydrian are the most common fish on the planet Zor, being found in nearly every river, lake, and ocean on the planet due to their ability to survive in both salt and fresh water. These fish are social creatures, often traveling in schools with at least 50 members, and typically work together to attack larger prey. Hydrian schools are also seen protecting other aquatic species from predators, with the fish creating strong water currents to attempt drive the attackers away. Despite being plentiful, Hydrian fishing is heavily regulated to protect the species and only restaurants are permitted to serve the species, as citizens are prohibited from purchasing Hydrian.

These creatures are highly intelligent, with them being observed creating tools, domesticating certain aquatic animals and plants, and problem solving complex scenarios. Psyquid are social creatures, forming large colonies within coral reefs that function similarly to a city. Psyquid have the abilities of telekinesis and hypnosis that they use for offensive and defensive purposes, and due to that, they lack any natural predators as many species either avoid Psyquid colonies or face a losing battle.
