Description
This is an old map I created in early 2020, loosely based on a map game I played a while back on AH.com. The blank spaces were supposed to have like ethnic maps (the federation would be comprised of Ainu, Emishi, and native Siberians), but I didn't finish it. Funnily enough, as I continued to research Ainu placenames, the most I was engrossed in Ainu culture and especially its language, so much so I realized all the mistakes I was making on this map and scrapped it altogether. However, in place of this, I am currently planning a gigantic map of Hokkaido with Ainu toponyms, sourced mainly from the Hokkaido Prefecture website.

Current state of the project? On the backburner; still fiddling around with QGIS, as I absolutely plan to have toponymy in it, so the basemap is still in production. I hope it can be my magnum opus of maps as there are over 1000 terms on my Google Sheets right now and even more coming. Hope I can finish it before I get out of college.
