I keep fucking around with this. I would very much like for it to be finished. I've learned a lot for this piece, but it's taking a very long time. It's constantly in flux because I keep seeing things that need to be fixed. When I left off last time, I was pleased with the lips but not so much the placement I'd adjusted to, and I'll also probably sculpt the nostrils back to where they were on a previous layer. When you are painting on a digital screen and you can enlarge your surface area, it can erase your sense of scale for the rest of the piece. So it was good to leave it for a bit and then come back to it to see what might need changing. In this case the painting is only a shadow of its former concept drawing which was made a long time ago, and I've advanced a lot since then. I've had to expand the canvas area so that we might get a better sense of who The Iris is when she's finished.

I'll be working on this painting for the rest of this week and I hope to get some of these issues fixed and finally tightened in place anatomically so that I can get to the finer details, as well as inputting my X-ID Disciple for its first paint layers.
