Hot to trot and i'm good to go *raps*

Anyway, this is Cloud, from the upcoming movie sequel to FFVII - Advent Children. I was actually going to upload this tomorrow, but it turns out i'll probably be busy, but the reason i was going to upload tomorrow is because tomorrow is cloud's birthday ! I worked it out, he would be 29 ! Really, i'm not that sad to know that normally, i just ... happened to start drawing this earlier this week, and then ... i started thinking about maybe playing the game again, so i was flicking through the manual and whoomph, august 19th, heh.

Cloud has always been a ... "paperweight" in my drawing life, if you like. Every now and then, i just feel obliged to draw him, to see how i would choose to draw him now differently to how i would in the past etc. I've actually done a comparison, which can be found here : [link] of how much things have changed in 4 years. Back then i never used to draw from my head, i only ever did copies, which is why it was so bad XD i used to avoid doing original stuff from my head at all costs - it was so damn hard! i had no idea how people did it, heh.

But anyway, this pic. It seemed to take foreeeeeeeever to do, just pure labour work. Painful. Took about 10 hours, on a4 printer paper, with Biro. And ... i normally get people asking me what biro is so : biro is just ball point pen. I used a cheap crappy free one - "macmillian cancer relief" to be exact. You know, the ones you get everywhere, that cost about 10p. Anyway

This has had almost zero cleaning up in photoshop. The only thing i did in photoshop was obviously adjust the contrast levels, but aside from that, its a straight scan. If anything it looks better in the original.

I'm really pleased with it. Personally i think its the best pic i've ever done (which if past experiences are to go by, it means that no one else will like it by default XD), so, i hope you like it too. It also marks the beginning of an end of an era in my "art life", whereby very soon i'll be going digital, so i guess this is my little tribute to the absolute king daddy of them all >8]! Without mr cloud, i probably wouldnt be drawing at all. Fact. Happy BDay !
