[::: Elite :::]Just realised that in all my time as a halo fan, ive never actually drawn an elite! So ... yup! As i'm sure you can appreciate, i didnt want to go for a "realistic" look etc. Theres a time and a place for it and well ... this wasnt the time!
Approx 40 mins.

This captures a lot of what elites lacked in halo...a sense of power and fearsomeness. Love it.

You say you didn't want to go for a realistic look.. But all that awesome shading and highlights make it look very realistic to me! Kinda reminds me of all those Aliens movies since the elite's armor and face is shining in pretty much the same way as Aliens' skin when they run in the dark. Anyway, the blurry outlines give so much depth to this piece. Depth AND movement!
In my opinion this is one of your best works in a while.

yeah ... im pretty pleased with it. Its a shame sometimes i cant tell whether something is received well because of how its drawn or because its "omg i heart this character/game/etc"

Have you watched the trailer for the new Halo games scheduled for XBOX 360, titled Halo Wars? It's really good. And maybe you can draw up more inspiration from there. ^_^

yeah, halo wars looks cool but i think they might take away the coolness of the spartans by having too many of them

ya but thats the story line from before. an army of spartans. and thats what they'll use too. master chief is so BA cuz hes the only one alive. but for halo wars i can see them having ARMIES OF SPARTANS?!!

very nice its a well done peice nice pulling of colors to create a surrealistic effect nice contrast, but you need more in the background the white against the black foreground is a good idea but in order to create more of a surrealistic view of an elite you would need somethin in the background to complement and pull in extra movement in the photo but all in all good pic
