It looks awesome even though I can't see the details. I understand not wanting to give too high a res for free (if that was why it's so small) but much of the finer detail of this magnificent piece is simply a blur to us!!

I am much impressed at how your art fuses non-human majesty with a subtle sense of epic emotion. It engages with the surface of the paper and makes the viewer feel fused with it. The scale is lovingly microcosmic, but a titanic macro level is present as the overall composition is a swirling chaos where the eye is encouraged to wander. Giant, grotesque bio-architecture which could also be the inner terrain of the human mind, or some mythological struggle on the level of Dore or Dante. In other words, great!

I look at this and yes, it's fairly jaw-dropping; but I'm inspired by it most of all. It's a challenge. There isn't a lot that's technically difficult about this, it's a matter of patience. That's not to knock your technical ability, judging by the rest of your posts you are very proficient, particularly at anatomy.
The beauty of this piece for me is that, like all your work, it follows no trend. It tells stories that aren't stories. It has a universal, ageless quality to it. Just like the old masters, it proves that paint is not the only medium for a masterpiece, that skill with a pencil is the sine qua non for all traditional artforms.
I look at it and think 'I could do that. ...couldn't I?' It makes me itch to be drawing. It makes me unhappy that I'm not drawing right now. It is wonderful and infuriating and addictive. I love it.
