here are my absolute favorite video games (please note that as more games are made and those i haven't played yet this could change)

10. team fortress 2: call it whatever you want hat simulator, taunt fortress, pre overwatch i still to this day play tf2 when ever i get the chance with a wide varitey of game modes and 9 fun classes to play. i bought this game before it became f2p and i still think it was worth it

9. final fantasy 7: a while ago i hated final fantasy 7 because of how overrated it was considered by many to be the best game ever made but my exposer to ff7 was through it's crappy move sequel advent children...then i sat down and played the game; the lesson here is don't hate something before playing it cause you look like a ass. it's a really good and fun rpg with actual characters hell cloud was one of my favorites here; he's not the emo bitch he was in advent he was a jack ass who joked around but was serious when needed. the combat system was well done and wasn't intrusive like later games made it and we all know the story; also another note fans of ff7 DON'T SPOIL THE BIGGEST PLOT POINT FOR PEOPLE WHO NEVER PLAYED IT THAT CAUSES A LOSS OF IMPACT.

8. kid icarus uprising: i grew up with nintendo honest and while i did switch to sony on the ps1 era i still try to play the old games..that's when i came to a realization...most of them weren't that good; you won't ever see a zelda game here on the list cause i honestly dislike zelda with a few exceptions, mario games except for world and galaxy did not age well in fact most of my favorite games were on the handheld. now that i got that out of the way let's talk about one of my favorites of the 3ds. a very funny action game with a revival of a franchise that was dormant. i loved the game play i loved the writing and voice acting in this game. i can easily say pit is one of my favorite chacters; up there with the likes of naked snake, dante and cloud.

7. Castlevania: symphony of the night. when i switched to the ps1 i was introduced to a wider variety of games; one such game was the metroidvania style game know as symphony of the night. a action rpg game that kept you wanting to explore the castle and fight both classic and modern monsters. while the voice acting is hilarious it adds to the charm of the game.

6. arkham city: hey everybody guess what i'm a batman fan (big shock); in all seriousness though a lot of batman games either ranged for ok to why dose this exist. then rocksteady and the wb decided to make the arkham games which themselves had the same range except for one. arkham city is not only the best batman game ever made it feels like a revival of the metroidvania style game play with a great story i refuse to spoil for those who haven't played yet

5. Shadow of the colossus. i had a gamecube and a ps2 and both showed me great games that showed what we were capable of. with the ps2 we had the best example of "are video games art". shadow of the colossus while at first seems like a empty world of nothing is actually one of the best giant slaying games ever made those who play know the feeling when climbing up a colossus as it shakes you off.

4. metroid prime. as stated before i had both the gamecube and ps1; now we show you one of the best nintendo games ever made (deserves it even more then something like ocarina of time). metroid prime is the 3d introduction to the metroid series and showed more modern games how to do single play first person shooters right. a claustrophobic atmosphere that gives you the feeling of solitude but you want to keep exploring as you uncover the secrets of the planet.

3. silent hill 2. horror in video games are incredibly hard to do right cause of many factors from making you so armed the threat of death is gone or a over abundance of jump scares. silent hill 2 is one of the best examples of doing it right. a quiet dreadful atmosphere with controls that fit the game perfectly. you slowly find out about yourself with great symbolisim that dosen't feel forced.

2. red dead redemption. are you a fan of westerns, are you a fan of grand theft auto, or of open world games. this game is perfect for you; a great western game with great controls and game play with many side quest and they fit the theme perfectly. you will fall in love with the dirty world and the character john marston.

1. Metal gear solid 3: snake eater. stealth and spy lovers with absolutely love this game. an amazing stealth game that in story started the metal gear solid franchise. an amazing story that starts the journey of naked snake to big boss. a amazing game with incredible boss fights including the best sniper fight in gaming history and one of the best and tear jerking endings ever made in gaming.
