Description
Here's some of the villains I've been working on for the "Liberty Dogs" story!
The Gal' is Chloe, sort of a self proclaimed "fortune teller alley gypsy". She's technically just trying to make a buck. However, when the British figure out that one of their superstitious officials has been going to see her, they decide to simply assassinate her so that no secrets get leaked. She isn't in connection with the rebels, but they don't want to take any chances. So basically Hap and Polly have to rescue her so that the Americans can get the information. She isn't liked by anyone and is one of those characters you'd pity but sense she's such a charlatan and backstabber it's enjoyable watching her get her comeuppances. ;D
Chloe was originally going to speak with a Romanian accent, but with her being in the city I think it'd add more character to her if she spoke with a heavy Bronx accent.
Next is Charbonneau, the troublesome (part Native part French) river pirate! He's basically Hap and Polly's arch nemesis and is always screwing up their plans. He's more of a minor nuisance to the revolutionary cause, that is until "British gold" starts talking... then you have a problem.
Third we have Henry. (I've posted an image of him before.) He's a politicians son who's been given a military commission merely because of his social status. Despite not even wanting to be a soldier, Henry thinks he's the best officer that's ever existed. (believe me... this doggo doesn't deserve a big bio. )
The tall wolf looking fella' is actually the main villain, General Harlington. Unlike his fellow British comrades, he is a mutt. (wolf/something else... we don't know.) Being a commoner he's had to climb all the way up the ranks making him one of the meanest blokes there could be. He wants to reform the empire's army (basically get rid of the politicians and let real soldiers do the work.) However, in order to fully achieve his goal, he must obtain a seat in parliament... the only way for a commoner to do so is by achieving a military commission that grants said person a high enough rank. If he can successfully defeat the rebels in a series of military operations the higher ups would be forced to reward him. Everything seems like it's ripe for the picking until he runs into a small stubborn group of patriots in the woods, who disrupt his supply lines and don't grant him the pleasure of open battle. With that, it makes it hard for him to get the needed recognition from his fellow generals.
Needless to say Henry is a curse to him... he can't discharge him or kill him... it would draw too many questions from the wealthy families. Henry basically embodies everything he hates about the army and he's forced to babysit him. LOL
hopefully I can get around to drawing more of these characters in the future. Until then, I hope you enjoy!
