Description
Insidious 2 Contest Piece; this was actually the third concept I developed for this contest, however, shorter timelines dictated I choose only one too submit. This particular piece shows the first lipstick demon character from "Insidious" wearing the poltergeist-esque WWII gas mask. In the reflective goggles, you can see the two newer characters from "Insidious Ch. 2" eluded from the teaser trailers. In sticking with the idea of something gone wrong, we have a piece of failing equipment, a torn gas mask that ineffectively does its job, a chilling realization as the gas creeps in from all around. Larger view recommended for closer detail, took a few hours on this, all while listening to the amazing soundtrack from "Insidious" by Joseph Bishara, giving me a new appreciation not only for the movie, but the side-by-side astounding score to match.
