Joey is Lilly's Younger Brother, Though he seems to be nervous in several occasions, After Kyle landed into a small pond in Twinleaf town. Kyle was curious over the town and as he met Joey he asked if Kyle would be interested in coming to Lake Verity with him. Kyle accepts then He and Joey set off to the lake... someone left their luggage with Starter pokemon behind as Kyle and Joey slowly go off to get it... after being attacked by Starly, Kyle and Joey were able to choose their starters as well as defeat the Starly, but they quickly leave the lake without being seen. After they were able to save themselves Kyle told Joey that the Pokemon they got were not theirs and thus it caused some incident that can lead them both into consequence, despite wondering what they should do... they were told to go meet with Prof. Rowan, in this case Kyle is worried he'd be evicted for doing something to save Joey's life, But Joey ended up being grounded by his parents for taking a Pokemon without Prof. Rowan's permission. Without wanting to say something and more worried about his promises being broken Kyle ended up becoming devastated and leaves Sandgem in an attempted to swim back home, but he spied on a huge pirate ship...
