this is my Rowlet evolutions fanart

Im not gonna with names so the 2nd Evo. it's called Evalett (why?) well I actually was with "aloe vera" in my head so I get vera to Eva and 3rd Evo. Kroowl I was think of mix of Crow and Owl so I got Kroowl.

one Evalett tail I didnt make green because while I was looking on Rowlet design I forgot that he had this green leaf tail but then I got it on Kroowl (phew) anyways ^^ I hope I did an awesome job ;D

I pretty much made an account on here to look at Pokémon Sun/Moon starter evolutions and evaluate and critique the designs. Although I've seen many others before, this is the first that I'm verbally reviewing one:

With regards to Evalett, I find it's a little bland; it doesn't really look like a Pokémon to me, the design is too basic, and everything that was charming about Rowlett is lost. It looks more like a generic owl that deviates too far from Rowlett's shape without actually adding anything interesting to the design. It's pretty much a boring bird with Rowlett's colour scheme and signature bowtie, albeit a worse version. However, I am aware that creating a middle evolution is the hardest because it's essentially just there to bridge the gap between the final evolution.

So, that being said, I'm a massive fan of Kroowl! It regains its Pokémon-esque charm that Rowlett has, making good use of the colour scheme and actually adding to its design. I love the intimidating, wise appearance - the latter of which is a trait often attributed to owls - and what I enjoyed the most is that this is the first concept design I've seen that goes with a more bulky idea. Most others make Rowlett evolve into a frail but majestic creature that seems like it would focus on speed. I like the bulk to this design, however, that makes it actually look like it has some strength and would probably be some sort of wall or damage sponge. The plumage and tail extension are nice, and the wings and torso have improved nicely on Rowlett's design without going over the top.

Personally, I really like Rowlett and I would be happy for this to be the final evolution. My main criticism is that I'd like something a little extra, such as making the legs/talons look a little less basic and like that of a generic bird - but that's because I'm getting a little bored of bird Pokémon. Looking forward to seeing your impressions of Litten and Popplio! Keep up the good work.
