(Kopa introduces the Royal Family and the Lion Guard to Imani, Koman, Sanura, Shere Khan, Bagheera, Baloo, Jambazi, and Uru)

KOPA (staying on topic): There’s more. (After when Imani, Koman, Sanura, Shere Khan, Bagheera, Baloo, Jambazi, and Uru approach while Imani and her family stay out of Simba and Nala’s view) And then this is Jambazi who’s been my closest comrade on the Night Pride as while as the one who I have had closest to a brother since my arrival at the Tree of Life. Then this is Uru who is the sister of the Night Pride’s majordomo Ullu.

KION (to Shere Khan): And you’re Shere Khan.

SHERE KHAN (amazed at how Kion already knows him): Precisely. (Introducing Bagheera and Baloo) And you probably already know Bagheera and Baloo.

SIMBA: Definitely.

KOPA (still staying on topic and gesturing Imani, Koman, and Sanura into view): And this is my mentor, adoptive mother, and old friend Imani and her mate Koman and their daughter Sanura.

[The Royal Family and the Lion Guard look at Imani in shock as Simba recognizes Imani as Zira’s best friend although Imani is already currently Zira’s ex best friend]

SIMBA (to Imani): Then, if I may ask, Imani, why are you here?

KOPA (to Imani): If you’ve been willing to be honest with me, Imani, then you should do the same with my parents.

IMANI (with Kopa by her side and not caring that Makuu and his float and the Pride Lands Animal Leaders are listening): I won’t help Zira avenge Scar and wipe out an entire population. That’s not what I signed up for.

NALA: Then what did you sign up for?

IMANI: Becoming a Pride Lander again. But after everything I had been through, it had become clear to me that peace, protecting families, and advocacy for a solution out of conflict are not the same things that Zira fights for. After she became completely devoted to Scar, and then when Scar was defeated by you and then devoured alive by his own Hyena army, Zira has fallen into darkness. It’s not about the Pride Lands or about being Pride Landers again nor about the preserving of the lives of my fellow Outsiders. It’s about avenging Scar through any means necessary and getting revenge on you at any cost. Zira was the one who attacked your son Kopa, an innocent cub all by himself, and Zira believed she had cut him down.

[The Royal Family, the Lion Guard, Makuu and his float, and the Pride Lands Animal Leaders are very shocked at what they just heard]

SIMBA (shocked): I knew it! I knew it! I knew that the minute Zira came back without Kopa that I had been tricked!

NALA (to calm Simba down): It’s not our fault, Simba. Zira brought it on herself.

SIMBA (really calmed down): I know. I just wish that I knew sooner or later that Kopa was still alive after what happened.

ONO (to Kopa): So, Zira is why you had been absent all this time.

KION: And why I had been believed to have been the second born.

KIARA (to Simba): And why you’ve been so strict with me, and why you told me to stay away from the Outlands.

KOPA (despite not having been aware of Simba’s overprotective behavior towards Kiara): Yes, Ono, Kiara, and Kion. As shocking as it may sound and hard to believe, Scar and Zira are both why Imani defected.

BUNGA (not having heard the word “defected” correctly): Defected? But Imani’s not sick.

ONO (although a little amused at what Bunga said about Imani and speaking for Kopa): Not defected. Defected. It means to abandon/forsake/walk out on one side or cause for another usually because of a change in ideology.

KOPA (continuing): When Scar took over the Pride Lands and turned it into a wasteland the last time he was around, he eventually corrupted Zira beyond repair and changed the cause of Zira’s Pride from defenders to conquerors. And then Zira’s complete devotion to Scar and her attack on my life completely destroyed her relationship with Imani, changed it from best friends to enemies. I’ve been willing to give Imani a second chance. She and her family wish an end to Zira’s journey on the Circle of Life along with the war against Scar and the Outlanders as much as we do.

[The Royal Family, the Lion Guard, Makuu and his float, and the Pride Lands Animal Leaders are very shocked at everything that Kopa just revealed]

SIMBA (to Kopa while forming a smile on his face and as a sign of that he was welcomed Imani and her family into his Pride): Well, if you trust them, Kopa my son, then that’s good enough for me.

KION: If you ask me, it is something I can get used to.

ONO: Affirmative.

FULI: You got that right.

BUNGA: Un-Bunga-livable!

BESHTE: Like my dad always says, “Live long enough, and you’ll see everything”.
