Description
As a big thank you to all of you HTTYD fans out there that have taken my profile page past 40,000 hits, I would like to show you this portrait of Hiccup that I painted in Photohop.
Now, if you mistake this for a screenshot, you pay me a great compliment, because it is not.
Here is the link to an animated gif showing how I painted it.

The pose comes from a scene in HTTYD where Hiccup is in his "office".

Reddening Stoick. Yeah, that's a good tip. I might fool with it a bit, using your ideas. I did think of darkening Hiccup somewhat, especially considering how Stoick disappears into the darkness and none of Hiccup's face does. But, anyway, thank you again for the tips! You're such a big help.

The skin tone, THE SKINTONE!! you are so excellent with blending skintone shades digitally AND in traditional medium. I hope to see a watercolor again someday

What a fantanstic gift! Thank you for sharing this with all of us!!! Since I first stumbled upon your first art piece (for me it was Hiccup: Father and Son ) you have grown as an artist by leaps and bounds! Your understanding of color schemes, lighting, shading, emotion, angles, proportions and perspectives has exploded! Such proof lies with in every stroke of the pen/brush, that went in to this very masterpiece!

I had a hunch it was gonna be something HTTYD...But nothing...nothing...not even a plate full of snickerdoodles could of prepared me for the portrait of Hiccup!
