Description This is an illustration done for a school book about an arabic poet from old arabia standing by the ruins of a tribe. "standing by ruins" is a term used about a form of arabic poetry.
old arabs lived in tribes in the Arabia desert.
When water lacked in some place, tribes had to move leaving behind them their unuseful stuff. And often there were some guys from other tribes who fall in love with some girls from the emigrant tribe. So, if a guy saw the ruins of the tribe where his beloved girl used to live, he stands there and starts reciting sad poetry in remembrance of his mistress.
These things where happening about 1500 years ago, awesome don't you think ??
