Description
This is a picture for the comic i'm working on, SPECTRE. This character is a Spectre from Karanasaito, a nation with many similarities to Japan. Although he is from Karanasaito he was captured by the Uvalad'i forces as a POW and was forced to be part of Operation SPECTRE.

I wanted to focus on another aspect of Spectres for this picture. Normally when i draw them, i show them with glowing eyes, and in many cases, when they are like that, they aren't in complete control of themselves. They are overwhelmed with power, and only the strongest of spectres can be in control in that state. Here the character has become aware of the things he has done. Feeling both regret and rage, he is at a turning point for himself, turning against the Uvalad'i who have had control over him for so long.

Another aspect to note is his appearance which has severely changed from the power he has taken on. He appears very old and is somewhat contorted anatomically, while he is probably much younger in truth. Many Spectres become more beast-like from taking on more power than they could handle. Power-hungry individuals often are difficult to recognize as human after they've taken on the power associated with being a Spectre. Not all Spectres change physically, the strongest, referring to inner strength, usually don't show a change or show little change. This is because they are more capable of controlling their power.
