"Blessed be the Lord."

Another one of my ideas for a web comic. Or even a graphic novel...
For those who don't know, I used to be a devote Catholic and now I am not but I really like all the cool symbols... crosses, candles, nun habits, prayers... it'sall pretty neat if you ask me
Maybe that's why I love Blue Exorcist... it makes what was possibly the worst parts of my life (Catholic school, my teachers were bIASED) look SUPER BADASS

I should note that isn't meant to be religious propaganda because this just uses religious stuff cuz it looks and sounds cool.
Thereare other types of "Vatican Knights" that are explored such as the Fursan Alnnabawi [FA] (Islamic sector), the Yogen-sha (Shinto Sector), אבירים נבואיים [NO CLUE HOW TO PRONOUNCE THIS] (Judiasm Sector), Bhagavaan ke Haath [BKH] (Hindi-Buddhism sector), and so on.

PLOT CONCEPT:
The world is made up of three layers; Caelus (realm of God), Terra (realm of Humans), and Abyssus (real of Demons). Abyssus and Terrus once lived parallel yet peacefully separate.... until the White Plague began to spread throughout Abyssus. The White Plague, an irreversible disease, began to infect the people of Abyssus, bringing forth their inner darkness. The Plague-bringer opened the door to Terra in attempt to spread their Plague only to find humans to be immune, only because of their genetic differences. The Plague-bringer elected to use his ever-growing army to subjugate those who were not infected...
  In order to defend themselves, the humans turned to the residents of Caelus, God. In every culture that cried out, God sent Their messengers to gather soldiers. As the centuries passed, these soldiers became known as Exorcists. The White Plague was suppressed for the most part, but the threat endured in any way it could... for the sake of the Plague-Bringer's cause, or merely for the sake of chaos.
Called, "The White War", this isn't a war at all. It's a mercy-killing.
  Today, within the Catholic Branch, the Vatican Knights, the Exorcists go about their daily business of answering calls to demonic possessions and attacks on civilians. However, during a field mission, an unlikely ally emerges. With his appearance follows a new wave in the War between Terra and Abyssus.

CHARACTERS:

LUCIEN MALEFICE, 20, RED
Lucy, as he's called, is a demon from a segregated "refugee" town in Abyssus. He comes to Terra to assist the Exorcists because his town was infected by the Plague. He, despite being so close to the plague, doesn't "seem" to be infected.
He's an enthusiastic and bubbly character who genuinely just wants to help. He can be loud and reckless, but he never wants to make a sacrifice of anybody.
Lucy, throughout the plot, is shown to be partially a member of a demonic clan formed through mutation with the Plague, the Clan of the Silver Eyes (who are evil by nature). However, this part of himself was, somehow, completely dormant until he became infected with the plague. This part of him took on the Plague and became a separate personality that calls himself Luciel. Luciel eventually gains his own identical body. Luckily, his fight with Luciel as well as his weapon make Lucy mostly immune to the Plague. He's as confused by it as anybody.
Lucy, despite being a demon as well as infected, is able to wield the Holy Lance (which is an anti-plague weapon). It's divinity helps ward off the plague, and it's also seen as the most powerful weapon against the Plague (which is why the enemy wants to steal it and taint it to do the opposite).
Lucy has a crush on Cross, and ultimately ends up being with her awww~~

  CROSS SAINTE ROAD, 19, GOLD
Cross is a priestess and computer/defense technician in the Vatican Knights. She was born in Germany to Korean parents, and was recruited because of her unique healing and barrier powers.
She eccentric and passionate as well as incredibly kind. She understands she isn't useful in offensive combat aside from wielding a gun and a knife, so makes up for it by being brave, intelligent, and resourceful in both defense and healing. She's in charge of the Santiago HQ's Defenses (force-fields and security system), and she often puts the needs of her team over the needs of herself.
Cross's mother was possessed by a demon when Cross was young, and she ended up attacking Cross's father, who was a priest. She ended up getting killed by him, as he awakened dormant exorcist powers, and then took Cross to the Vatican Knights with him. When her healing powers to discovered, she was regarded as an "Angel Class" and was recruited and began training. Cross's father became a higher-up quickly, and started to change, straining their relationship.
Cross wields a handgun and a knife for when she's forced into combat situations. She uses rosaries wrapped around her hands to use her healing and barrier magic. She also has an "Angel's eye", which is the source of her powers.
Cross develops feelings for Lucy, and they end up together aww~~
(yes, if i make this series,you bet your ASS i'm gonna put effort into chemistry. fuck these barely-developed hete-ro-mances, we're getting some REAL love in here)

FATHER ISAIAH SANTIAGO, 34, BLUE
Isaiah is the head "priest" of the Santiago branch of the Vatican Knights. He was born in Italy and moved to Germany after his parents, the original leaders of the branch, were transferred. He's the strongest character in of the main cast, and is a "Preacher" class (using primarily prayers to kill demons).
He's laid-back and intelligent, but kind of lazy. He likes to read crime novels, and he actually doesn't consider himself a man of faith because he didn't believe in God until he met Them. He's generally pretty open-minded and very wise.
Isaiah's parents were killed on the front lines, leaving him alone with the branch in his hands. He was only 18, and found himself not believing in the cause suddenly. He eventually met his Messenger and got to speak directly with God. He took responsibility and began training again.
Isaiah wields a "bible" and a rosary, but doesn't really do combat as often as the others.
Isaiah acts as a point of wisdom and has to make the tough decisions. He's against fighting the demons because he knows they're just infected, but knows killing them in the only way to stop and "cure" them.

MARIA LaCROIRE, 25, GREEN
Maria is an Exorcister (laaaame) and second only to Isaiah. She was born in London but was raised in Germany in an orphanage.
She's silent and more grounded, but often goes along with whatever's happening. She likes sweets and acts docile, but she can be pretty scary when she wants to be...
Maria used to cage-fight when she was 18, and did some other illegal things like occasionally mugging somebody, credit-card fraud, and so on. She was taken in by Isaiah, who soon discovered her ability to exorcise demons using guns. She began training under him and changed her personality.
She wields two guns.
Uh.
She's mostly a docile character, and she's mainly a front-lines characters... I haven't developed her yet.
