Description ::[Folded Memories]::

Snapshots taken in a moment
Close your eyes and breathe the air.
Memories made throughout our lives
but do we understand or care?

Time goes on and memories fade
more like photographs than dreams.
They dull and crack, the edges frayed
exposed to daily life's extremes.

So now when memories come my way
I fold them tight and hold them near.
A photo album in my mind
remembered joys, and pains and tears...

Interesting my friend. I often do this too, but like change, or anything we put in our pockets sumtimes (without our knowledge - our pockets rip and things lose without us knowint) or when we remove our wallet or keys they may fall out.... sad but true it seems everything has its way of losing itself... Wonderful poem though, I hope you dont wash your pants with all those memories in them keep them safe

Great work. I love the first stanza.

Keep it up Wes.

Ohhhhh Very nice. Another great poem added to your gallery.
Judging from this and the haiku, it sounds like you have something on your mind.

Short, yet complex. And I generally don't like rhyming poems, but this works.
"They dull and crack, the edges frayed
exposed to daily life's extremes." Great lines.
