Sixwings all that is what a Haiku is??? wow, I did not know that, (to me they've just been short teasers) but I'm begining to get to like these lately (well "some" I should say)
never noticed how much can be said in just 3 lines like these =/
anyways, Wes I really like this one the best I've read so far...

A Tommy Lee song ?
Pretty cool, but true Haiku poetry is supposed have a certain number of syllables in each line with this pattern: 5-7-5
What you have there is 8-7-6
But I am a big fan of Haiku
It is a challange to write something with profound meaning or depth in such a short space and with the rythem restrictions, but when you do, the thing takes on a really nice charm that only Haikus have. Also if one 3 line stanza isn't enough, you are allowed to add more stanzas... still following the 5-7-5 syllable pattern of course

Past tries to hold me down... how many times have we all felt like that? Another good job on a haiku, and only your second.
hehe
