Love how it is a quiet scene, but the little details like the bird, the leaves on the floor and the other buildings in the background make it come alive. Amazing!

This is an absolutely magnificent piece of artwork. Every aspect of it has gotten roughly equivalent attention, it balances very well across its space, the placement and distance between figures in the scene (along with the stairs) draws viewers naturally through the work. All the little details, such as the food on the plate down below or the shingles on the roof still come through stunningly and yet don't retract from any other part of the work. Simply beautiful. (Also I just love the bird, really cute)
