Every single derogatory word and statement directed toward women by the early church and now is expressed in this piece. Witch, evil, seductress, depraved...were you reading the Malleus Mallificarum when you were thinking through this?
I'm not particularly offended with the use of the Christ image as I am not Christian and HIS image indicates...acceptance? Of the fact that "Women are women and will always be this way' ...but we're not. His image is of acceptance, or that's how I feel about it.
On the other hand, I suppose it could be the sense that people take the bible just a little too literally and a vast majority of the Evangelicals I come across tend to be women...who rage the most irrationally when presented with the particulars of another point of view so I suppose I could see it that way. All I know is there is a very negative connotation that has been stirred in the eye of my artistic resonance and...

taking the bible to litterally. The Bread was meant to be his body and the wine the blood, or something similar. Having the pretty ladies there is just something awesome to look at~

Hmmm. Well, I don't dispute that the composition is well-balanced as far as there being an equal amount of action on both sides. I just feel like there's more to it than that. Like why is Jesus so complacent when people are gnawing on him? Why does one of the women have pink hair? I just feel like there's some satyrical reference there that doesn't really come across.

This gives the Eucharist a whole, new meaning. I'm not too keen on the timing of this, but I'm not offended. It's rather clever.

Don't know what makes people rage, but this is seriously genious. It's a different perspective of the original story, and the irony of this picture! It could kill me. I love the idea, and it's well executed. And the fact that women are drinking his blood makes it all more ironic. Not in a "I-think-women-are-evil"-way, but in a "the-church-thinks-they-are-evil"-way.

Since Americans started the whole drama you may be interested to know that as many people died from peanut allergies than they did from terrorism since 1960 in the USA. Also more people died from deer accidents and lightning strikes.
President Obama even now is arming USA forces to fight these evil peanuts, deer and lightings as clearly they are an "axis of evil arming to threaten the peace of the world".
