Wow, this is a really interesting painting. I like the difference in the bears' tolerance of her presence, from having one let her sit on him to two others violently attacking her. It's really, strangely, peaceful. Awesome.

This is really beautiful. I especially like her slightly worried expression. She's clearly somewhere else, and something--doubt, pain, worry--is gnawing at her (literally? I guess literally it's polar bears). For some reason, I'm also really drawn to her hands. They're so delicate. And the way her index finger is raised, it's almost like she's stroking the hand beneath it, to soothe herself.
And is it just me, or is one of those polar bears covering his face? It's like we go from the bear that's cowering beneath her, to the bear that's placing a paw on her thigh and beseeching her with his other paw (or another bear?), almost like he's concerned? And then the three bears that appear to be devouring her. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it seems like a pretty straightforward progression of her mood. The way we try to deny our feelings, and after we tease them out, they devour us. Like when someone we love hasn't come home yet, and by the end of the night we're so sure they're dead that we wish we were too.

The different colours in this piece are absolutely enthralling, especially the different tones of colouring on the bears - it makes it seem like they have their own personalities! It's a lovely painting style as well, very smooth and refined but it still looks natural.

The art is beautiful, but her expression is like she is...content with her position? (I had to re-write that several times, can't seem to find words) determined? but with sadness or something...
