Last deviation for 2012: alternative logos that Google could have used… though I imagine there would have been some copyright issues.Happy New Year everyone!
UPDATE: Complete surprise: this was chosen as a Daily Deviation yesterday! Thanks to all those who have faved or commented, the response has been overwhelming! Sorry if I don't reply to you, there's just been too many to reply to, so I'll just say thank you to all now. THANK YOU!!!
The Alternative Androids are:
Bender, C-3PO, R2-D2, Robocop
Rosie (The Jetsons), Cyberman, Dalek, B-9 (Lost in Space)
Tik-Tok (Return to Oz), Marvin, Eve, WALL-e.

Great! He seems to have been the most difficult one for most folks, him and the B9 robot from Lost in Space.

...Technically, five of these are not androids.
(R2D2, the Cyberman, the Dalek, Eve and Wall-E, with the Cyberman being a cyborg, and the others being too physically inhuman.)
That aside, they do look really good, and Marvin & Eve already look a lot like the Android logo. Maybe R2D2 too, excepting the lack of arms.

You were close on one. The one that you said is The Iron Giant is actually Cyberman from Doctor who. You spelled Dalek wrong. The guy on the top right is Robocop and the guy in the bottom left I have no clue.))
