Batman originally started flirting with Robin to divert his crime fighting partner from his dangerous infatuation with the Joker. Robin and Joker's on again, off again relationship had veered in a very unhealthy direction, not to mention Jokers outstanding 6 life sentences at Arkham, making him less than boyfriend material. What started as a diversion, soon deepened into an obsession with unintended consequences. What would either of them do if their love compromised the crime fighting duo's ability to operate as an efficient team. A dangerous life style and a passionate love were proving difficult to reconcile.
