Thanks for your good comments.this piece involved a lot of brass and bronze so eventually it will get verdigris and have the touch of green that you suggest.its an old dragon now and I no longer own it.I love ursula le guins descriptions of dragons in earthsea where they have plates of hot metalic scales.cheers

not that I don't think this is really awesome, but the "wyvern" has four legs. That makes it a dragon, and not a wyvern. It is an awesome copper wire construct (small dragon) [by D&D standards] however.

Wyvern dragon? wyvern is similar to dragon, but with only two legs, so this can't be a wyvern. Bactrian camel can't be a dromedary!

I love this, it seems so natural in its setting, is it all metal or do I spot some willow? :>

Hmm... Wyverns don't have four legs though. They have two legs and wings for arms.
Regardless, this is a beautiful piece. Love the craftsmanship.

Perfect choice for the materials... the color and the skeletal/burned look of the wings are perfect fits.

Wow!
That must have taken a while. Then again it depends on the wire metal and gauges you used too.
