Stunning work! The robot first reminded me of the Iron Giant in Brad Bird's film "The Iron Giant," then the coloring reminded me of the robot "graveyard" in Miyazaki's film "Castle in the Sky." The background and lighting effectsβespecially that on the butterflies near the middleβare beautifully done!

Everyone is saying Iron Giant, but with the blue Butterflies, the first thing I thought of was Paprika.
That out of the way, this is gorgeous with the concept of life and death. The rusty metal has a nice texture and the moss and whatnot looks very smooth.

Butterflies are also representative in a lot of cultures as the human spirit or soul. It's an awesome picture if you think of it that way too.
