I agree that it's vulgar. Of course, sometimes art /is/ vulgar. Andy Warhol was vulgar (e.g., his "Piss Paintings"). You know what else is "vulgar"? The word "fuck" is vulgar. You know what else is "vulgar"? Missing an apostrophe and effectively conveying that you think the picture owns a "foul" rather than your intended statement that the picture is "foul". This observation of vulgarity isn't a criticism of your comment per se--I have no problem with the word "fuck" and was able to understand your message quite well despite the excusable typo--I'm simply emphasizing that vulgarity is a valid part of nature and therefore a valid part of art; it isn't a valid complaint about any piece.
Obviously, controversiality and "coolness" are similarly invalid complaints, and frankly asinine.
But why "foul"? What is there about this picture you find offensive? I'm genuinely curious. I doubt you'd describe any of its fundamental elements as aesthetically "foul" or offensive, yet this photograph seems to evoke a strong emotional response from you. Why?
