Believe it or not this is my first time painting.

Previously, all of my artworks were only pencil sketches. However, school is starting soon and I need more practice in other art mediums so I can take AP Studio Art. So I went out bought a $15 set of basic paints, some cheap brushes, and a pad of canvas paper and... viola.

Honesty I didn't expect it to turn out as well as it did... its a bit of a shock to think I was able to produce this with my own clumsy hands

Time: 45 minutes 8/13/2013
Materials: Gouache Paint, flat synthetic hair brush, round brush, Canvas paper

NOTE: Please feel free to critique my artwork! It will really help me to learn and improve!

[Gouache is like an opaque-watercolor-acrylic-thing... I'm actually not exactly sure what it was]

[The original painting is larger with clouds, mountains, etc. but I only liked the trees; that's why I cropped the painting.]
