Description
I had an epiphany as I was toweling off after a shower. Earlier I'd seen my cats sleeping on top of each other. I could kind of see their forms, but mostly they looked like lumps of fur. I realized that a manticore made of mammals ought to look like that- the fur on the animals would obscure their forms, except for a very few on nthe very top. The others would be lumpy tuffets of fur on the surface. I did a quick sketch of this, which I found more satisfying than anything my efforts have so far produced.
