Well, we got a little bit more snow than I expected.

I've had a small breakthrough with sketching figures today - meaning the shapes, not the ~finished sketches~. I'm now starting with a line that goes from the top of the face to the top of the feet, and as I was filling in the shapes I realized that when I think I'm drawing a circle for the head, I'm really drawing a circle for the face. So as I would fill in the details I'd keep having to erase and everything would end up much larger than I intended. But I guess when I try to picture a person, the two points for size reference that my brain focuses on are the face and feet, so putting the line between them helps me see where everything else is supposed to go. Next I might work out what actual human proportions are.

Her head is too big. And there's something wonky about it. But I wanted to get this done so I could keep trying new ones.
But both characters are meant to be 14-16 so it's not too bad.
