This 100t behemoth flies through the air with the greatest of ease! The ides of jump vehicles has always interested and terrified me. Like watching the dark knight and seeing the Bat-Tank careening over rooftops for the first time. But it's useful for this guy. It allows him to get up to those choice high points and rain mortar destruction.He's got no fixed wheels on the bottom row of running wheels, that whole section should be able to compress nearly all the way to the armored skirting. There's probably some mechanical or magnetic system that adheres the track to the wheels during flight. Otherwise the thing would be guaranteed to throw a tread with every landing and the tread profile distorts.

Well, having used it in a game, you're not far off.
You roll on the motive system damage table for each jump with a +2 modifier for Tracked vehicles.
On the up side, with a weapon as far reaching as Mech Mortars, getting immobilized isn't necessarily crippling, as long as you got into a good position.

You DEFINE Battletech for me. Period. Your work really gives what is otherwise solid fiction that 3rd dimension. I don't even play. I just love the 'Mechs and the stories. But your stuff? Its like the yardstick BTech art should be measured against. The simplicity yet esoteric detail put into the jump tank...truly awesome.
