Naruto © Masashi KishimotoThree quick sketches of Naruto in some conceptual clothing re-designs. THe trousers are the same for all three, and I have put on fingerless gloves too.
I didn't want to do a complete overhaul, so I've kept in aspects of his current clothing.
A: The first pic was just basically naruto's current clothing, except the jacket is now short sleeved (but could also could still be long-sleeved) and he wears the chuunin jacket.
B: His original jacket is now sleeveless and shows a chuunin shirt underneith.
C: Inspired a bit by Yondaime. Long jacket with orange and Black andhe also wears a chuunin jacket and shirt.
So what do you think? These are just concept designs for my doujin, so may turn out different. But, in the end I may just return to drawing his current wear.

I love C as a far future outfit, like when he gets Jounin, but just experiment with the the styles in the next chapter of your manga and see which you like more.

I think U should go with the B design of his chuunin outfit since A is still basically the same outfit and as for C well U could still do some more improvements it looks more like he's wearing the hokage jacket over his clothes, but all-n-all there're not bad.

I'm slightly drawn towards B just because it's pretty much like his normal outfit. I like A too, which would probably be a better choice if you wanted a change. C I don't like for him. Naruto is more of a tight-clothes guy and I think the trench coat would get in his way.
Naruto: *jumps down from a building* I am Naruto and-*realizes his trench coat has flown over his head* Ack! I'm blind! Stupid trench coat! *attempts to get it off but only manages to walk into a tree*
Plus, like you said, Naruto doesn't know who his father is yet. And I have a feeling that Naruto's always wanted to wear a chuunin vest.

Personally I like the C the most... but he isn't hokage yet T_T
A is what I expect Naruto will choose himself.... He has worked hard to become a chuunin and he wants to show everyone he is now (i think he wants to do that 
and B is... Don't know an other word, but a bit boring >_< (gomenasai for being so ruse >_< )
It looks to much as his regular clothes and I really like to see naruto in a chuunin-vest.

I love C the most, but i think that it should wait until he knows about being the son of Yondaime, or just until he's better. haha. I'd say A is pretty kick ass too, id go with that one.

I think I'm going for C, I 've always wanted Naruto to wear something like that ^^ I love such kind of clothes 
It's just an idea, but I've always wanted to see him in a long jacket (just like in C) but a total black one accept on the bottom there's like fire...(if I remember correctly Yondaime has dat too) but this time the fire is orange.
It's only a idea, you know 
But I definitly go for C
ps. Just curious but I don't remember I've seen Kakashi (or at least not a lot ) in you doujinshi... Does he play in it or not? (He's not dead, is he?! )

Kakashi has been in it. He was in the hokage's office when sasuke returned, and at the end of chapter 2.
He's very busy at the moment, but he will be in it again at some point.
And I like the long coat look too.

I have to Say C looks great but its a bit much just for chuunin level, so i'll say my seconf fav which is A.
