Chapter 3- Matt's Connection

"And so I was telling my mom, that I'm fine here at Kadic" Tamiya told best friend Milly in excitement. "And then I told her-"

"Wait hold." Milly held up her index finger. "It's Matt..."

"Oh look at him...." Tamiya muttered.

"How can anyone in the 6th grade,be on the basketball team,and look that cute?" Milly asked with a slight blush on her face.

"What?" Tamiya giggled, "Are you in love with him?"

"Oh no! As if!" Milly then stomped off towards the gym, "Come on. We have to do a report on the upcoming dance for the Kadic newspaper"

"Hello everyone! This is Milly and Tamiya coming to you live from the spot where we'll be having our annual Kadic dance." Milly introduced. "Well let's see if Sissi will answer some questions for us. Sissi,what are your thoughts about the dance?"

"I refuse to answer any questions" Sissi blocked the camera with her hand. "Besides Milly, you don't have a date. Why are you doing a report on it?"

"Because it's for the newspaper!" Milly said. She was stricken with the fact she didn't have a date. She stood there silenced by Sissi's comment.

"Haha. Good luck finding a date" Sissi said and walked away,followed by Nicholas and Herve.

"I will!" Milly squealed at her. She then looked at Matt who was dribbling a basketball in the gym.

"Matt! We're trying to clean up for the dance!" William yelled at his younger brother.

"Whoops...sorry bro!" He smirked and spun the ball on his finger.

Odd pushed the ball of his finger. "haha!"

Matt saw the ball and he ran after it. He skid to a stop when he saw Milly. He stood up and looked at the girl in his grade. "Oh um...hey Milly."

"U-Um....Matt. Would you be my date?" Milly's face turned slightly red as a tear ran down her cheek from the embarrassment.

Matt looked back at the group and then at Milly, "Be glad to take you. See ya at your dorm at 8."

"Really?" Milly looked at him.

"Well sure." Matt took the basketball and looked at the group, "You guys aren't mad are you?"

"No way. Besides, this is your small portion of helping out" Odd joked and gave Matt and sticker.

"Oh whoopie. Great." Matt said,unimpressed.

Off in the Hermitage, a spark came out of the electrical box. Dark aura came out of the electrical box and soon the Xana symbol appeared on a screen of a computer.

"So I told em...what the heck are you?!" Matt laughed.

"Well well, if it isn't Matty D. and his group of friends." Sissi stood in front of Matt. "You know, if you wanted too,you could have asked me to the dance." She said winking at him.

"Yeah...the day I date you is the day I date a dog" Matt said raising any eyebrow.

The group laughed at his joke and Sissi grabbed his shirt collar, "Listen to me Dunbar! You better watch what you say to me!"

"Oh...I'll try too" Matt replied as she set him free.

"So do you feel like you have a connection with him?" Tamiya asked Milly.

"Who knows. I'll find out tonight if I do or not." Milly let her ponytails down and brushed her hair. "Maybe I do..."

A knock came from the girl's dorm door. Tamiya opened it,revealing Matt. He was in a tuxedo all ready to go. "Evening ladies. I came here to pick up my girl"

Milly walked over and looked at him. "Woah Matt...you clean up nice"

"Haha first time I heard that! Ready to go?"

"Yeah. Let's go" Milly hooked her arm with his.

'Now this is my soon to be....connection' Matt thought in his head with a grin while walking down the hall with non other than Milly Solovieff.
