It's probably just me, but when I  sound out the name Christopher, I can hear parts of Chrysalis in the sounds.   Makes it be in a bit of a nice tight bow that this universe's version of the Changling Queen is actually a boy (therefore he's probably a Changling King).    Not to mention that he and Haze can shapeshift to probably anyone they choose.

And of course the last panel has the scarf Rarity used to have, as well as a Fire Ruby.    So the battle with Descent and Nightwing were just the apperizers.....

No clue to the first question.  Your guess is as good as mine.

But to answer your second question,  Nightingale  is indeed Descent's (aka Flash) sister.  according to their story, they were the victim of some horrific circumstances.  You may want to go re-read the chapter again for confirmation.   But the short story is that the siblings were more dead than alive, and when Luna came along, she revived them as well as rebuilt them.  They are Shadowbolts because of Luna.

Probably the actual Shadowbolts that attempted to tempt Rainbow Dash in the series premiere of FiM.  They haven't seen them since, and the only other time they were mentioned was in "Luna Ecllipsed"  where RD was wearing a Shadowbolt costume for Nightmare Night.
