Bio:
Noxlee, often nicknamed Nox, are a small anthropomorphic race, often not growing more than four feet tall. They are an advanced species but nocturnal by nature. Their defining features are their eyes, which are almost always in a squint due to their extreme sensitivities to light, their large ears that aid in echolocation on the darkest of nights, as well as their mole-like hands and feet, covered in hoof-like claws. Noxlee are fine swimmers and fishers and they can live to as long as 250 years old.

Diet:
Nox are strictly piscivores! More primitive Nox hunt their prey at night by submerging their whole bodies underwater and locating fish with their mild echolocation skills. Modern Nox tend to create great fish farms on the edges of their mostly waterbound lake and riverside villages, only the elders have the rank and respect to take claim over raising their younger Noxlee’s food source.

Social:
Noxlee have an extremely social nature and both primitive and modern Nox are drawn to large groups and communities! Nox are put into two categories, primitive and modern. These categories are an individual's choice. Primitive Noxlee live in medium to large sized tribes, they hunt and live traditionally, without the use of modern technology or ways, they live in the ways of their ancestors and sleep under the stars, they like to feel wild and free. Modern Nox can live in either a completely modern world with modern technology or a semi modern world with modern ways (farming, building, social status etc) All types of Nox build close social bonds. They have friends, and lovers, like all species. Most Nox are Polyamorous and there are some groups of Nox, all in a loving relationship, in groups of as many as twelve individuals! All elders are treated with honor and respect, as they’ve earned it in their long lives.

Reproduction:
No matter which sex a Nox is, no matter the pairing, all Nox have the potential to become or get someone pregnant. They have complex reproductive systems which will be described in more detail in a NSFW ref sheet! All Nox lay eggs with a black and galactic-like vibe of metallic hues. Eggs will incubate for 24 months before hatching into a Noxlee pup. Noxlee reach sexual maturity at about 20 years old.
