I seriously thought the glasses were covering another pair of eyes, and then on second look I realized that perhaps they weren't since the bridge of the nose was so much lower. I think it's a cool effect though, and the ciggy is really well rendered as well
anyhow, rock on

Heh. Sometimes I don't either. I just sit down by the unfinished artwork time after time after time... and wonder if I'm ever gonna finish it. But somehow it always gets better with every sitting spent into it.

541mb thats insane, my computer would keel over trying to handle that, very awesome work, the detail on every single little thing is gorgeous. this is more than deserving of a DD, this is deserving of worship. you are truely inspirational.

Sweet. Thanks mate. Yeah, sometimes I think myself too why I always must size up the pics so damn large. Then you just sit and draw one stroke... and wait a couple of seconds of your computer ticking... and then draw another stroke. - - But I remember I painted this picture in smaller sections and then when all the sections were finished, I combined them as one hellova piece.

10000 X 10000 Pixels! Thanks for the tutorial and amazing wallpaper!
Mind blistering highly detailed work! When I see work like yours I realise just how lazy I am.....I want my stuff finished yesterday and resort to shortcuts and large brushes.... you use no shortcuts, just infinite (Or so seems to me) patience and hard work. I also looked at your detail images and it just makes this sink home even further. Every single little button and rivet and glass lens is a little work of art in itself. Every little miracle contributing to one kick ass image.
You say you didn't manage to keep up with the detail and I'm thinking the jacket right? It still looks excellent though.
from me....and I'm going to devwatch you most certainly. Ispirational

Thanks, man.
Yup, hard work is almost everytime the only solution to achieve something you want. But I sure sometimes just feel myself so dum to spend hours and hours on one freaking painting!
And yeah, the jacket is the most undetailed object in the painting. There always come this point in painting process you just decide "NOW IT'S READY, GODDAMMIT!", whether how unfinished the painting seems and then sign it.
Thanks for the fav and the devwatch btw. There's will be a short 5-minute animation film released soon by me, so keep watching. I think I'll post the links to here in DeviantArt.

Juu, voi jumankauta vähän yllättu ku kirjautu tänne ni otsikkopalkissa viestit (3D, 42M, 11C) että niinku mitä oikeen on tapahtunu. Normaalisti tulee vaan pari kommenttia viikossa. Sitte ku selvis ni yeah. Nyt on jo kaks DD:tä galleriassa. Asiaa.
Niin ja muuten, Assemblyssä tosiaan tuun julkasemaan ton just valmiiks saamani 5-minuuttisen animaatiofilmin, josta pätkiä EVTEK:in haastattelussakin CD:llä annoin.

Jeah. No opiskellaan sitten molemmat Evtek:issä. Minä tosin opiskelen siellä Mediatekniikkaa. Minunkin TaiK:in pyrkimykseni jäi tuohon ennakkotehtävä vaiheeseen, mikä on sinänsä jännittävää, koska viimeksihän pääsin melkein sisään . No mutta vuosi Evtekissä sitten.

You know, I wouldnt mind this guy being on the cover of some Duke Nuke'em, because for some reason, the mood of the image just jumps out at me...

That's weird. You're not the only one who claims the similarity to DukeNukem-images. I sure can't remember any of those, but yeah I remember there were lots of bigs as the main mass enemy in the game. Maybe I should seek some of those images to my hands and make a little of comparing.
